Trash Enclosure: Pedestrian Door Code effective Mon 8/24
The Board of Directors has decided that the pedestrian door should remain closed, and codes generated and distributed to all residents. This change will become effective Monday August 24, 2026. This decision has come after the observation that the dumpsters are likely being used by non-residents, thus causing buildup and a messy enclosure. Please only keep this code to yourself and your fellow tenants – do not share with anyone outside of the Wafco Mills community. For now, the Board will distribute a new code every six months.
CODES WERE DISTRIBUTED TO EACH RESIDENT’S DOOR ON WED 8/19, AND VIA EMAIL FRI 8/21. If you have not received this code for any reason, please reach out to WeLoveWafcoMills@gmail.com immediately.
How to use the lock:
Touch anywhere on the screen to wake the device up
Press the “Accentra” Logo at the top of the screen
Enter the PIN code
Press the checkmark at the bottom left of the screen
Close the door behind you once finished inside the enclosure – it should automatically lock within a few seconds.
If the lock is not working properly for any reason, please report the issue immediately to WeLoveWafcoMills@gmail.com, and someone on the Board will attempt to correct the issue as soon as possible. During an issue such as this, please open the front gates – do not leave your trash or bulk items on your porch or outside of the enclosure.
Front Gate Padlock
We will eventually purchase a padlock for the front gates. Look out for a combination for that, and use the same caution when sharing the code with your tenants and roommates.
Enclosure Usage Reminders
• Our new pickup days are Thursdays (regular waste & recycling) and Fridays (bulk items)
• Please close the doors (on the sides and the top of the dumpsters) before pickup days; if they are left open, extra debris could fall from them while being picked up.
• Bulk items are encouraged to be taken to a drop-off location such as the White Street Landfill at 2503 White Street, Greensboro NC 27405. "White goods" (such as large appliances) go to Guilford County Scrap Tire & White Goods Collection Facility at 2138 Bishop Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 (see website for entire list of these items).
• If your bulk items block the main front gates, the city will not pick up trash until the next pickup day, if the items are removed.
• Do not lean bulk items against the dumpsters, or against the enclosure walls, as this may cause damage to the enclosure or prevent the city from picking up the trash.
• Do not dispose of yard waste in the dumpsters.
• Any of the above violations will result in a fine.
